< Friendly chopper on the way! >
As you may have noticed, I redesigned my website this week. I tried some new stuff for me, programming wise. It's really nice to have Craig in the house and we can both speak the same language. Well, he's way more fluent than I am, but I'm hanging in there.I love my job. Mostly I love the people there. The job hasn't really gotten fun yet because I'm still stuck in old-show-format-mode, but the change will come.
So I get home from work today, stumble through the door like a drunken sailor, and eventually I come across the mail. What with the current move to a new house and all (read about all that at thebethunefamily.com) I had a stack of new bills and service agreements for utilities and whatnot. Among those envelopes of money-sucking colored paper and propaganda lay a packet from the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. I knew what this envelope contained, not only because of the weight and the thickness, but because I had previously changed my address on my driver's license. My excitement was snuffed and my joy was subdued when, much to my chagrin, I noticed that the amazing SCDMV mistook me for a woman.
SEX: F
This could be a joke, a prank pulled by one of the many light-hearted and jovial folks in that kind and warm-hearted establishment. But my guess is that in a fit of drunken rage that overtook the mind, a disgruntled employee of the state saw how I had clearly written M and what with his blind-spot and sore neck, it makes perfect sense that he typed F instead. Then again, maybe it was my name that gave the clerk the distinct impression I was a South Carolina female. Or the facial hair.
